Hi, I stayed there with my partner in August 2006. The place was still very new, and the owner and his wife were very eager to hear how it measured up against the opposition.
We had a neat, clean private double, but looked at the dorm accom - which actually had an aircon unit. The bathroom on our floor was clean and well equipped, but the kitchen needed a few additional gadgets ( which the owner assured us he would be getting).
Washing machine available as well!
Not sure if there was an internal common room - the outside patio was certainly well-used when the weather permitted .
If you come from the station it seems a bit out of the way but its actually very close to it and the coach terminal and on direct trams to the city centre (maybe 15 mins or so).
There are had a few cafes and a small supermarket nearby- also good pizza delivery!
Would I go again ? Yes, certainly!
