As i said, Hostel Budec looks alot like a prison. Big, dull, with wide stone stairs and a massive prison type gate inside. This really put me off at first, but it only cost around £7 a night, and for budget travellers its quite ideal. The area is fine and its only about a 10 minute walk from the cities main attraction wencesles square. The room was very basic, but it was clean and felt safe. The staff seemed grumpy and not very helpful. There was free internet access though.I'd recommend this hostel only because it was so cheap and the location was good. Not for those looking for luxury at all, but would suit young travellers on a budget that aren't too fussy!

Overall poor service. Dirty showers, toilets etc and useless staff.
