The balcony is good for relaxing and listen to Skippy's nice music ;-)

Travellers, if you like music, art, taking your time, a coffee on the Vltava river with incredible people, sleeping well in nice rooms, you have to go there. We were there for a few days, we stay more than three weeks!!! In the superb little kitchen, there is always good music. Life is fying in the house, everywhere. A place for artists, musicians, real travellers. You will love it for sure. The most intense place in our long trip... Cesky Krumlov is fantastik. (simon and mylene, Quebec)

Stayed here in August 05. It's quite a small hostel, very clean and with a cosy atmosphere, and the two owners are really helpful. Coupled with its riverside location (a great area of decking for just sitting and watching the river and diverse upturned canoeists drifting by) I found it reminded me of living on a boat! The rooms are a little cramped, and in poor weather (yes, it does happen, even in summer!) the lack of an indoor 'common-room' would be a bit apparent. There are pubs, bars (and a supermarket) close by, and the centre is only a picturesque 10-15 mins walk away.Would certainly stay there again, and wish I could have stayed longer on this visit.

This place was OK. Most people seem to like it more than I did. Skippy's is a good place to relax. The balcony over the Vltava is great, an ideal place to chill and have a beer. Also, the staff is very nice. Skippy is one of the most interesting people you'll ever meet. But ultimately, this hostel was too cramped for my liking. There should probably be half as many beds in here as there presently are. Using the shower in the morning is an ordeal, as there is almost always a lineup. Really, it doesn't matter where you stay in Cesky Krumlov because from what I can tell, all the hostels are at least adequate and everyone goes drinking at Travellers or Hostel 99 anyway.

This was a very relaxing hostel with lots of charm. The big bonus is that its right by a river and you can sit on a nice wood terrace to enjoy it. Its run by great folks who do everything they can to take care of you. They will definatly point you in the right direction regardless of what you're looking for. Good place, good people. I recommend it. It's clean and cheap too. Check out their website at www.skippy.wz.cz if you want to take a look at it.

It is right on the riverside and in the summer it would be lovely to sit outside on the balacony. Skippy herself was so nice and accomodating to us and gave us a fantastic bedroom. Generally it had a very friendly easy-going atmosphere and is situated in a beautiful little old czech house. I highly recommend it.
