Considering that Denmark has some of the cleanest hostels, this one deserves 5 stars! I stayed here mid August, and it was great. There is a lot of space, the bathrooms are pretty good (although they only have 2 showers for the ladies), breakfast was great(the bread - fantastic!) and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. What makes this hostel so wonderful though, is its location (10 min. walk to the city center) and beautiful beach with gorgeous trendy scandinavians. The place next door to Luftmadrassen is a beach bar, which seemed to be very popular when I was there (although the beers were expensive, you won't find them much cheaper anywhere in Copenhagen ). On the beach, you can see Nyhavn just across the water and watch the big ferry boats leaving at night. I have been recommending this place to everyone and will definitely stay here again if need be.

I want this hostel to succeed. Why? Because it's new and has the potential to become a great party hostel. The people that run the hostel are very nice. It has a great location, just a short bus ride from the central station and a short walk from Christiania as well as the main shopping area of town. Unlike many other hostels in Copenhagen they didn't try to shove as many beds as possible into the hostel. There is quite a bit of space. The hostel is on the water and they have put in a fake beach. The bar at the hostel is an established bar that locales like to frequent. Apparently they had a 700 person party out on the sand last weekend.Since the word isn't out yet (not in any of the guidebooks) the hostel doesn't get full.The main downside is the price, 200kr's, quite steep but they give you free linen, free breakfast, and free internet.Beers at the bar are quite expensive, you might want to try to sneak in some supermarket beers. They also have a ping pong table!I stayed for a couple of days and would definitely go back when i'm in copenhagen again.
