Stayed in the hostel in mid-March 2004 and loved it. My room had 12 beds (4 bunks) and a tv. The room was spotless, beds made of a new wood, and the window provided lots of daylight and fresh air. Since there is a hotel upstairs, the building in it's entirety is very nice, and slightly upscale looking for having a hostel, in my opinion. The negatives are that the showers use those push buttons and the bathrooms themselves were nothing special, but really, how long do you spend there? I felt the breakfast alone was worth the price, which is very reasonable. Breakfast is buffet style with tons of choices: cereals, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, juices, etc. The hostel is centrally located and in a good part of town. If it weren't for the bathrooms, I would give this hostel 5 stars.

Generally is ok for a hostel. You can stay for about a week without a big problem. It's cheap with a very good breakfast and it's in the center of Copenhagen BUT a little bit noisy and the lockers are outside the rooms. That was a problem for me. ok and the showers were a little bit bad

Hotel is upstairs, Hostel is in the cellar. Not too far from the city centre, this place has no end of corridors and doors. Breakfast was great and you got more than a roll and hot chocolate. Our room had a TV in it and the showers and toilets were close, so not much to complain about. The lockers are actually holes in the wall which you slide a lump of wood over. Bring a lock.

That's quite far from the central station. The reception is really good. They have a great place to eat, and breakfast is included (big one). The rooms are really tiny, with low ceiling, and it sometimes strange to find the showers and bathroom. Anyway, if you are liked to go though the gangway half-naked, that's not a problem

The hostel has advantages: it is central and fairly cheap (130 crowns including breakfast). However, I would only recommend it in case of emergency and certainly not for longer than 1 night. The dorms are small, dark and stuffy and if you get a bed under a staircase there is not a chance you will get any sleep at all. The showers are disgusting - if you must stay there, use the hotel showers one floor up. I only found ONE toilet on the first floor for both hostel and hotel guests. The breakfast is good, but make sure you get there early - the staff are very slow at refilling the trays and very quick at removing them at 10 am. And the strangest rule: you and your things are not allowed to be in the hostel between 11 am and 3 pm - the hostel is CLOSED for cleaning.

Although this hostel had many rabbit-warren like corridors, the place and rooms were tidy, warm (sometimes too much so) and clean + they had a TV. The breakfast was great value and satisfying. Located very close to city centre and metro/train and bus stops, plus it was one of 3 hotsels open in Dec. Rooms cost DK125 per night, with bedding another DKK30. Bring along a padlock and you save DKK25 to lock up your locker/pack.

As it seems typical in Copenhagen, this hostel is not a result of a thought strategy but as the result of a "let's make this small space profitable with th biggest amount of beds possible" logic. You feel the result as you go through a fine hotel entrance and then go to a no-window 2 storey basement through a very cheap and thin staircase. then you face two comunal rooms, existing most probably because they couldn't put rooms without windows there; therefore the crowd divides and it's damn hard to meet anyone. Then there's the bathroom episode, in which you have to cross the comunal area of the -2 floor to go to a industrial showering (if you're a male), where one chair is the only place to put your belongings in a place for 8 people... The breakfast is the only advantage in relation to other hostels, but then,if you think about it , it's probably the rests from the above nice hotel breakfast... no wonder. The situation is central though, and has a train station right near the entrance. I suppose it can only be good to big groups who look but to budget restrictions...

This is a nice and cheap hostel with a breakfast that cuts down the daily costs. the staff was really helpful and nice. The showers and room could have been better, but... The price and the location is the main reasons for you to stay here.

The staff are nice, and it has a nice bar and excellent breakfast. The dorms are tiny with three layer bunks and it gets very hot and stuffy. You'll have to rent sheets if you don't have your own. The showers are disgusting, you get to them by passing through the dining room (it took me a while to locate them!). It's one of the only hostels in Copenhagen that's open all year.
