The hostel is very nice. It is clean and has recently been done up. The kitchen is great and the staff are friendly. Halsingfor is a nice town with a great castle, Elsingor from Hamlet. But the beach was not much more than a strip of pebbles and the hostel is far enough out of town that you have to take a bus or the train (you can use your interrail pass, two stops and not far to walk at all). Nice for a stop over to see the castle, if that's your thing. Oh! There is no baggage storage at the train station, but the tourist office may be able to help you.
