ok, but if you are in a group the cabinn hotel is cheaper and much nicer, the location is good even though it is on a main road (but my room was quite). Overall it was not too bad but I've stayed in many better.

I stayed here in 2001 and judging by the recent reviews nothing has changed. The bad points are 1.I had to share a dorm room with a couple of Danish vagrants2.The staff are really surly and everyone was a chainsmoker3.The hostel is not very clean 4.The toilets and showers were a disgrace. The good points 1.Good location 2.Aarhus is only worth a days visit anyway so 1 night here would be ok(just). This Question is to the management of Aarhus city sleep in .How the f*** are you still open?

I spent one night in City Sleep in and moved on. The location is pretty good, it's a short walk from the train station and has a few fairly cheap places to eat around it. The staff is mixed, some are really friendly and helpful some of them are not so much. The hostel itself is pretty big, but there is good security. You have to put down a deposit for the key which is refundable upon its return. All bedrooms have locks and there are lockers inside the rooms that go along with the beds. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and extremely squeaky. The bathrooms are a bit dodgy as far as being clean so make sure you have shower shoes. Toliets are separate from showers and shower rooms are gender oriented with two private showers. Breakfast is a few dollars extra which you have to pay the night before, but they give you a good amount- bread, cereal, cheese, and juice. And the common areas (breakfast room, TV room) are cleaner and comfortable. My opinion is City Sleep In was okay for the one night I was there, it was cheap enough and close by- but I wouldn't stay longer than that.

We stayed here earlier this summer. We had a private room with a private bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower). The bathroom is tiny and has no shower curtain, but it is clean. We found the staff pleasant and enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped and the other facilities were good as well. The only unpleasant thing was that our room faced the railway tracks near the harbor, and it was noisy during the night. Maybe a room facing the courtyard would be better. Also, the Internet access they offer is really slow - go to an Internet cafe.

This hostel makes a welcome change from the dives that abound in Copenhagen. The facilities are excellent. The location is good. The dorms are small, the bathrooms are clean and the whole place has a good atmosphere. It is often booked out in the summer, particularly with people heading off to seasonal picking jobs, so book ahead. I would give it 5 stars but I found most of the reception staff to be unhelpful and disinterested. It is also a little annoying and bizarre the way the reception closes for half of every hour in the evenings, but I suppose this is better than it shutting completely. Apart from the reception staff, with whom you can avoid contact without much difficulty, I found this to be a great hostel and would thoroughly recommed it.

Only a few beds in each room, a garden terrace, pool table downstairs, couple of chill out rooms, close to the action, walking distance from the train station, cheap beer from reception, bathrooms were clean, cant check in till 2pm but can store your bag till then, lots of night life around but be warned on Sat night things often dont kick off at clubs till 2am, pubs and other venues are frequented first or people drink at the university or home first, friday night kicks off earlier.
