BUG review
Bath Backpackers is in a historic building in the city centre and it has been painted up with lots of murals, which give it a funky atmosphere. It is a bit grungy and has a smoky basement dungeon plus the usual kitchen and TV lounge but the brilliant location and atmosphere outweigh the negative aspects of this hostel.
About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.
We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

Check the room before you pay. When we went to our room, we discovered it was filty dirty. The window was opened and there were flies buzzing throughout the room. There were stains on the wall, carpet and desks. Then we asked to get our money back, but they refused.
