Pluses: the guy in charge(Australian)super-helpful and efficient.

Like being in the living room at home to watch TV or just hang out.

Minuses:crowded dorm

Some transient workers including older, non-hygienic men. Ew.

Friendly, but expensive hostel with crowded rooms, August 12, 2003

13 quid may not seem too expensive for England, but having arrived from Wales (2 miles away), I was surprised at the extra 2 pounds for my bunk bed in a room that I shared with 16 other people. The unisex dorm was clean enough, though a bit dark. Morning shower was hot, but the toilets/shower rooms should've been cleaner. They looked fairly new, but uncleaned for a couple of days (no, it wasn't a weekend). The kitchen was small and would be crowded if several people tried to cook in here. The positives were the friendly staff and the close proximity to town and the train station.
