I found Edmundbyers itself a nice building and found it more catered to the walker and cyclist not to the casual traveler backpacker. Its a little out of the way on the A1 moterway in a small village about 29 mles from Durham. If you want a quiet out of the way place this might fit the deal. O yes its £10.60 a night but can do your washing free.
