I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Thorny How? It was about 1987 I think and I recall the warden had a nice beard.

thourney how youth hostel is a lovely place to go when your in grasmere. there is a lovely lively atmoshpere and the staff are great fun. the showers are good but one more in the girls section of the hostel would make it easier. the toilets are immaculet. the rooms are very comfortable and very well heated.the reception is very cosey and the living room is very nice.the area around the youth hostel is large and hilly with plenty of greenery.overall thourney how youth hostel is great!!
