Barrow House is situated on the shore of Derwentwater. A family run hostel with a great atmosphere, it is ideally situated for water based activities. There is access to the lake at the end of the drive. The views are spectacular, Cat Bells, Grisedale Pike and Skiddaw all visible from the members' kitchen. Good links to public transport, busses and boats pick up and drop off nearby. The accomodation is comfortable, family rooms available. The hostel meals are cheap and tasty.
