...simply a wonderful place to stay. Truly nothing negative about this hostel. Wish I was there right now with my boots steaming gently in the corner.

My son and I had two great nights at patterdale. We were in an 8 bed dorm which was fine. There are smaller size rooms if you book early. No slamming doors in the night. Good facilities all round. The "specials" for the evening meals looked good, even though we didn't partake.Great access to the mountains and steam boats on Ullswater.
