Youlgreave is a small town that is a bit out-of-the-way but it has hourly buses from Bakewell during daytime on weekdays. There are walking paths all around. The youth hostel is a character building that was once a co-op grocery store. It is in superb condition with a large bright dining/sitting room overlooking the town square, an excellent kitchen with eating area, and spacious dorms with washbasins. There's no TV.
