BUG review
Exeter's YHA is in a big 17th century building about a 10-minute bus ride from the city centre. It is a clean hostel with a big dining room, two lounges (one with a TV) and two kitchens (one normally used for groups).

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

Nov 2003

On the edge of Exeter, overlooking the river estuary. 20 mins walk along the river walk to the canal basin. Games room in seperate building with pool table & games machine (cold in Nov!)

Accomodation 5 star with tea/coffee & washing facilties in the room we stayed in. Good for famileis, great for those staying in Exeter for a coupld of days who want a quiet place but near to the action. Pub approx 15 mins up the road.
