I liked the place, Jill was pleasant. It's a big house, within 5 min walk from the trainstation. House has open & closed hours. There are about 6 bdrms, 24 beds in total I think. The living room is cosy, long termers were nice...amazing..well, no, but they were nice enough to me. It was their house and I was a visitor...least that's what I felt...which is ok, bc, I WAS a visitor. So, whatever. Nice and warm, shower & bathroom was perfect. Bed was really comfy (bunks) and I took the bottom bunk. Each door has locks on it, house also has a code to get into it. Varies frequently I understand. Safe, pleasant, nice. Yeah, I'd recommend it. The beaches here are really nice, besides that, not much doing in B'mouth!!! This friday, the house is hosting a beach party, I hope they have a good time! laterz

Bournemouth is a brilliant place. The Backpackers is quiet, but very close to town (also bus/train station) so getting to the club was no prob. Unlike most Hostels this place is very clean and safe.

I just stayed in this place with a few friends over Easter.

Firstly id like to say it was very clean and tidy- esp. the bathrooms, the lounge was cosy and the kitchen pretty good (Apart from not having a blimmin OVEN or freezer)

The only thing I didnt like was the management and the "long termers" who made us feel quite uncomfortable, like I was sitting in their house uninvited. Especially as we were probably paying twice what they do!

Also they have two large fridges but its CRAMMED full with the "long termers" food so you cant get anything in there.

This place is basically designed for travellers who stay for weeks/months on end, rather than unlike us who were there for three nights.

Also we had a big issue with the management about a late guest- (something out of our control but he didnt arrive the night he was suppose to) so now all our friends are banned for life, just because someone who was driving from York on a motorbike in the rain didnt make it in time- Gee thats fair!

But apart from our own personal experiences, its close to the train/bus station and clean. Just make sure you keep the "long termers" happy and you'll be sweet....hopefully.

Very nice cosy and friendly spot to chill out. Small and clean but best to book in advance, especially out of season as their opening times are quite limited.
