BUG Review
The Beverley Friary YHA is in a restored historic friary that dates from the 1330s. The building has lots of character and it features a history room with an exhibition on the building's history as well as the oldest wall paintings in Yorkshire (dating from the 1550s). Facilities include a good kitchen and a large lounge room.
Price Dorm bed £13.95 (£11.95 HI/YHA) Prices are in local currency and are inclusive of all taxes.

This old Friary is an unique experience. The Warden was very helpful to us. The hostel is in walking distance of the commercial district of the town. We had trouble finding the hostel because it was at the end of an alley. Parking was also very limited but we made due. We were there on the very last day it was open in Oct. 2004.

This hostel is in an old monk's priory near Beverley Minster. Beautifully restored and decorated with a friendly warden, cozy kitchen and dining room and lovely garden with views of the Minster. The warden will give you a tour and tell you the history. Bempton bird reserve, sea cliffs with puffins etc, about an hour's drive away.
