The only things missing from this place to finish it's surreal image off completely would be a diminuative spanish waiter being chased around by a lanky, mentally-deranged, owner. For fear of writing something libelous I won't suggest that I actually witnessed dead bodies in the laundry basket or Germans being insulted in the dining-room but if I had it wouldn't have seemed out of place! Something that the people who run the BOKA should consider when checking the new guests in is a compulsory tetnus jab. Please, please, please if you have children or any aspirations for the future DO NOT stay here!

I stayed at the Boka hotel in July 2000, with my girlit was a pretty little hotel decorated in traditional floral and "olde english" style decor. The owner was a pleasent fellow who always endeavoured to help with any problems or if special arangemnts could be made. The room was a tad small but facilites were second to none, with ensuite shower, sink, and wardrobe. Tv room was nice too.Breakfast was a real good treat and couldnt belive how cheap this hotel was. Previousley I had stayed at the Tavistock hotel but this hotels offers a little more customer care. Highly recommend cheap central hotel.

I stayed at the boka hotel 5 years ago and I was so unlucky to know the Serbian owner and his son. They are rude and always trying to find something wrong in the people who is peacefully staying in their hostel. The kitchen, when the light is switched off, is the kingdom of little animals and you have to be very lucky in not finding other more dangerous animals in the bed you have been assigned to. Lots of my friends found the bed-bugs in their bodies and the receptionist gave them a spray, as a usual action. The only good thing is the big space downstairs, where people can stay till late watching the unique old tv.

The only positive aspect of the Boka is the realisation that some of the other places you've stayed aren't as bad as you thought. The rooms are tiny, the staff are rude, the complimentry breakfast is disgusting, the showers are tiny (converted broom closets) and you need to get up early to avoid the queue. There is a musty stench that clings to your clothes, that's assuming someone hasn't pinched your stuff.
