I so wish I had read some other reviews before booking 5 nights in this shit tip. It is disgusting, perhaps these standards could be accepted in the third world, but really it was foul (and I ahve staryed in some dumps!!!) I left after 1 night, it was dirty, there were cockroaches - dead and alive - just about everywhere. I have yet to receive my money back as I amde an excuse and legged it!! This place needs shutting down, only just returned from my trip but will be blacklisting this place as much a sis possible... Environmental Health authorities will be informed I can assure you!! The website looks great, but that is as far as it goes...

D.I.S.G.U.S.T.I.N.G. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care how pretty the pics look on the website, this place is an old dump - bottom line. I stayed a large room about 4 flights up - about 10 people in the room, I think. The room was dirty, some lockers didn't work, the wash up room attached to it was a total hell-hole. I presume it was unchanged from when the house probably was a workers hostel in 1890-whatever. Just awful. The toilet next door was so small, you could barely turn around in it

I felt totally duped when I arrived and saw all this - but I had no other option for the night. So I basically resolved to sleep the night and get the hell outta there fast.

There are some positives. The staff was incredibly nice, across the board. Perhaps the best I have met in a London Hostel. Guests were also nice - a number were of long term people working in London. The location is between Earls Court and Kensington - very convenient to transport and everything. Too bad the hostel itself sucks.

As cheap as this place is, its just not worth it. It is a total pit. The huge difference between their advertising and the reality amounts to nothing les than marketing fraud. If you end up booking this hostel - you'd better have a backup.

Nice neighborhood, building maintenance leaves something to be desired, guests are mostly living and working in London, all very friendly, kitchen is tiny but workable, lounge is hangout place. My advice is to pay a bit more for the 4 person rooms - it makes all the difference, believe me!
