This was the first hostel I ever stayed at, and it was eye opening. It is a very friendly hostel where you are pretty much forced to meet other people which is a good thing. The manager was a really cool guy and gave very good advice and directions. Bad things were the kitchen which was a little dirty, the bathrooms which had really no privacy and hardly ever toilet paper, but you get over that. Had a good time here, no real restrictions.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 weeks and felt very comfortable, secure and welcomed. Had all the facilities needed for the money and if it didnt... what the hell are we doing stuck in the hostel... we are in London! Hit the sights, restaurants, pubs and meet the genuine locals around Earls court. Overall, great value for money!
Pros:
the people, the location, and the manager
Cons:
smoking area needs more space, shower room lacks privacy

my mate and i had a great time at this hostel. decent price for the accomodation and met great people to hang out with. everybody has interesting stories about the places they've been to and the cultures they come from. manager is very easy going, honest, and helpful. highly recommended if you're looking for a friendly accomodation.

Ok, it's all mentioned above, but once again, this joint is all about the family atmosphere in the heart of a good area. It's definitely more long-term orientated, but the crew are always happy to meet the kids passing through and share a story or two. It has it's flaws, but living in London aint easy and most people tend to live in pretty basic accomo anyway. I lived there. I'd recommend it. And if you're a backpacker, then it should be about the people more than anything else anyway... shouldn't it?

Nice staff. Warm and cosy. No bedbugs. Kitchen and free breakfast. Great visitors. Go here for the atmosphere, but avoid the pub, Blackbird, nextdoors!

I went there this weekend, and just wish i'd seen this review of the place first. It was appaling- the place was filthy, and in the night I was eaten alive by something which I later discovered to be bed bugs- the worst thing was they made their way into my hair which up until yesterday I had in dreds (i spent four hours unpicking them and smothering them in nit lotion) After sitting up at 4am (because I daren't go back to sleep) and watching rats about the size of small cats scurrying about, I felt like I needed at least three baths when I got home, I also discovered a flea taking a bite out of my foot on the way to the 'bathroom' and there was something that looked like a giant beetle living under a mouldy mop propped against the shower cubicle- I didn't stay around to find out exactly what it was....Just vile- earls court also full of obnoxious aussies and idiots who play music at 3am much to the dismay of local residents who thoughtfully started screaming at each other across the street until 5am.Avoid it like the Plague

This hostel was a nightmare. the showers were grimey it smelled like cigarettes and the carpets were disgusting. This hostel should be closed down. My husband and I stood there one night we cancelled our other night. we went to Barmey Badgers instead. now that was cleanPlease don't go to this Hostel unless you like a Crack-House atmosphere

Hey guys this most be the friendiest hostel I have stayed in! great if you are traveling by youself, only 35 beds in the whole place, I made alot of friends while staying here and would recommend it to solo travelers (cheap too, you can't be too fussy!)

Not good, not clean, not worth it. There are much nicer places in Earls Court for cheaper. The place is gross. Don't do it please. I was stuck for too long. Have to go home and soak in some bleach now. Drug infested crap.

Atmosphere? Whatever. The ganja was crap and overpriced btw. The hotels were infested with Bedbugs for 3 months and it took a month and a half to get a fumigator in!There are a lot of better places to hang out in for atmosphere in London. But if you want obnoxious longtermers then yes this place is for you.
