BUG Review
This established hostel in the north London suburb of Golders Green is a good option for travellers with a car (even though the parking at this hostel is rather limited). The hostel has a nice garden area but much of the hostel's interior feels tired and drab. Facilities include the usual kitchen, TV lounge and games room and there's a big cooked breakfast included in the price.

Dorm bed £22 (£20 HI/YHA)
Twin room £51 (£47 HI/YHA)
Prices include breakfast

Last year, our school stayed here for three days while on tour with our choir. I hope to be returning next year on my own after I graduate. It will be nice to return to friendly surroundings!!

Positives - clean facilities, huge breakfast (cereal, toast & full English breakfast all included in price), self-catering kitchen, 2 common rooms (1 smoking & 1 non-smoking), friendly staff, heaps of info on sightseeing in London and elsewhere in the UK & located in an upmarket suburb.

Negatives - not a central location & tends to be used by school groups.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and couldn't wait to leave.

The staff are friendly and the breakfast was great, but my room was freezing and I wasn't convinced it was all that clean.

They had an Australian children's band staying who took up all of the common room space and pretty much pushed everyone out. The most unfriendly hostelling experience I've had.

I stayed in this hostel for a few nights during the busy summer season and it was a great experience. The beds are comfortable, the staff was fantastic, and it was very clean overall. The only factors keeping me from giving it five stars were the distance from all of the sights of London, and the distance from the tube station. It is a long tube ride to get to the station, then a bit of a hike from there to the hostel, so going and coming took longer than I would have liked, but the friendly staff and wonderful facilities more than made up for that. I would love to stay here again, but honestly will probably stay in a more central location if I have limited time in London.

very clean hostel indeed, we had ensuite and it was comfortable and tidy, bed linen was supplied and the breakfast was enough for the whole day, fantastic! there are a lot of good cheap restaurants in the area and it's easy to get into the city.

Hampstead Heath is a really nice hostel. The people who work there are great. It is kind of far from the city center but it is nice to leave the "city." You can eat there and the bathrooms are clean.
