I stayed in this hostel for about 10 days when I first moved to London for temporary student work. This location is in SOHO and probably the best thing about it is that there are dozens of clubs and restaurants around that you can enjoy yourself - or even get a job at if you're looking for work. It is about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the nearest tube stop and it is on the upper floors of the building with a none-too-reliable elevator. I had 2 huge suitcases and could barely manage to get them too my room, but if you're travelling lighter or have 2 people you should do ok with getting situated. The facilities are very good. The beds are in good shape, the hostel is clean, there is internet access and a large lounge room. The showers are private and with a small changing area. The toilets are new and work well. The staff is friendly enough and can give you basic directions and advice, but don't expect to meet your new best friend here because it is more business-like than most hostels. Many people stay at this hostel who would otherwise stay at a hotel simply because London hotels are so expensive. There are a lot of people here who aren't backpackers and are simply in town for business. This isn't a place to meet struggling student types, this is where more of the well-funded hostel customers stay.Overall a very good hostel in a good location, but the price usually reflects this strength.

Just 3 min. to "shopping heaven" Oxford street and close to other major attractions - that is the best about this hostel!!The rooms are very small, but ok. - the carpet was full of stains and spots, though. The showers are tiny and didn't look that clean. The first impression is: "fucked up" place, but one gets used to it (I stayed a week). The staff isn't friendly/caring. The price is a disgrace!!! Also I had to buy a YH-membership card, for which they charged me with 12 £. My friend's card was already expired, but she didn't have to pay for a new card. Hmm, why have an expiry date, then? Not very logic. Some noise from the streets, but after a day of walking around London, you'll sleep well anyway. ;-)Anyway, I'm not sure I would go to this hostel again, probably not .. however, London will surely see me again!!! :-)

Great location, as is close to the underground. Fantastic if you want to shop / see any musicals/theatre. Showers get pretty steamed up with no fans and floor to ceiling doors. Rooms are fine but do heat up a little, and you do get a lot of noise - particularly when the garbage truck arrives at all hours! We were there when the renovations were going on so it was a pain going in and out with all those stairs but i'm sure the new section will be great. Expensive seeing there is no breakfast, but there are some great places around with cheap breakkies and great coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The hostel is clean and quite. The shower is good. Room is secured (but I live in a 2-bedded room). The location is excellent which is closed to the rube station. There is a lift in this hostel. You need not to worry about your large luggages. However, the price is really too high. About $24 pounds with no breakfast....A pack of breakfast is cost about 3-5 pounds (not quite sure) and it is not worth the price. I think this hostel is good except its high price.

I thought this hostel was one of the better youth hostels I've stayed in. The beds have max 4 people in them. The bunk beds are very good and give the person on the bottom enough head room. There is a washbasin in the room and a cabinet. The showers have their own changing room and the water was warm and the pressure good although it was very humid. The location is unbeatable. It is a 2 minute walk to Oxford St. and about 5 to Leicester Square. The only drawback was the price. For me, it was steep but worth it.

The hostel is placed in central London, 5 minutes from Oxford street and regent street. So the location is allright. The people at the reception were helpful and seemed nice. The bathrooms are not great, but they can be used. Some noice from the cars and shops very early, but for a day or to the hostel is allright.
