Huge 4 storey chalet style, right on the beach of the tiny bay of Port Pitcan. We had a twin bed room on first floor which had ensuite shower and basin. Guest kitchen is far too small. Cosy bar on ground floor where you can watch the moon over the bay amd Mont St Michel in the evenings. We managed to get places on the minibus that runs out to Mont St Michel in the early (6.45am) morning for breakfast on the ramparts, before the tour buses descend - it was glorious to see the sun rising over the bay.Really friendly staff - nothing too much bother for them. The hostel is right on the coastal path, so it's an easy 15minute walk to Port Mer for a handful of bars/hotel/cafe if you want to eat out, or jump the bus to Cancale for the choice of 30+ places to eat. The coast path carries on all the way back to St Malo if you are feeling energetic, or you can cut it short at La Verger (5 miles) and catch the bus back.A lovely part of the world - hope to return next year

I took a trip across 5 European countries in September of 2002. This was, by far, the best hostel I encountered. It incorporated very polite, professional service, comfortable rooms and outstanding scenery. A great place to stay!
