I found this place by accident (through an advertisment from another hostel). It's about 2 hours south of Paris.

From the train station, you either have to take a bus to it (cepoy), or taxi. It's much too far to walk. When I arrived, the bus has already stopped running, so I had to take a taxi.

When I pulled up to it, I was amazed by the size. I wasn't expecting to find a old 17th century chateau. Very impressed. The rooms are medium size, with common bathroom/shower and kitchen.

It has a long front and back garden. At times, it feels like the whole place is to yourself. You get a very authentic feeling staying there.

It's located in an old village with a small grocery store, one restuarant, and one bar. Very personalized.

This place is really off the beaten path. I recommended staying there for a couple nights.
