If you try to locate this YH on Rue Kellermann according to the house numbers you will rather end up at the local jail... the YH is at the southern end of Rue Kellermann, across the street from the little park (the building with the painted walls). The warden is quite friendly. The dining room looks freshly renovated and is quite spacious. The users kitchen is so-so, they just have one electric stove (with a broken switch you are warned to touch!), on the other hand there are several refridgerators which you can used. There is also a small living room. When I was there a guy brought in his own TV and let it run all night long... of course without asking anyone else whether this might be annoying. The dormitories are in good shape. I wish I could say similar about the bathroom facilities. There is just one sitting toilet for each dormitory (there are two of these), and usually the floor of the latter was more or less flooded with water which even run out of a nearby outer door. The light in the shower room did not work (there was just one small lamp), and the windows could not be opened, air was always very humid there. Of course there was also no light in the shower cabins. Let alone any hook for hanging your clothes. I hope some day these rooms will be renovated to the same standard as the dining room already is. On the plus side: it is in walking distance from the city center (about 30 min walk from the train station), has a quiet court (with place to park your car) and you can have access to a bike shed. Shopping facilities are rather located on the upper end of Rue Kellermann, there is a big supermarket (no bread on sundays) and some other shops down the main road. There is even an internet cafe, although I would recommend the Open-Up Cybercafe at Rue de Croix des Teinturiers (a few steps from the market hall).
