Many many years ago I stumbled into this YH. The new building was just partially finished, and the main lobby was in the old abbey - a nice atmosphere between old furniture and an old chimney. Today many things are different. Everything has been completely renovated, and the new building is up and running now, including a nice entrance lobby. However, the very rural atmosphere it had before is almost gone, except for the surroundings which still are beautiful. Rooms and facilities are OK, there are sufficient showers for everyone, I think. They offer a members kitchen - but you have to share these facilities with the staff members who prepare their meals there, too. Obviously they do not expect too many guests preparing their own food (meals are served on request). Not all of the staff members were very friendly, but if you do not want to get on closer terms with them it probably will be OK.
