BUG Review
Although this hostel is a bit far from the centre in a dodgy area, and not yet very well known on the backpacker circuit, Le d’Artagnan is a great hostel. If it were more centrally located it would surely be the most popular hostel in Paris. Its facilities include laundry, bar, restaurant, and a cinema. Situated in a large modern building with eight floors and over 450 beds, it is boldly colourful and eccentrically decorated. They offer currency exchange, salsa lessons on Thursdays, video games and pool tables in the basement, and plenty of tourist information. You can even buy packs of metro tickets and museum passes in the reception area. Rooms are large with comfortable beds, and shared showers and toilets for most rooms are very standard but clean enough. They serve by far the best breakfast of any Paris hostel. School groups may come often, but it also attracts many international guests. Most staff are friendly and refreshingly enthusiastic.
