BUG Review
Located just behind the Louvre museum, this low-profile hostel is in a large, old (but attractive) building on a pleasant street. Rooms are average and identical to those of BVJ Quartier Latin. Again there is no kitchen; just a breakfast room and a microwave. The atmosphere here seems non-existent at times, but with no curfew and a location near quite a few hopping nightclubs, it could be the perfect place to rest your head after a big night of partying. Unfortunately it is often overrun with school groups. Reception is helpful and welcoming, and they even sell ready-made picnic lunches.

We stayed at this place in 2001, and had a really great time.

It's not flash, and not the liveliest hostel - it's not really a place for people who want to hang out and meet other backpackers at the hostel..

It was great for us, we could walk to the Louvre and along the Seine, or out past Les Halles to the Pompidou centre.. And some of the rooms upstairs have pretty romantic views over window boxes and roof tops of paris (if you can handle the stairs).

The courtyard inside the entry is pretty much the only communal space outside the dorms, and its pretty but small. breakfast was basic, and ran out quickly.

Don't really remember the facilities well, they were mainly basic but ok - although the showers had a really annoying button thing you had to keep pressed in to get any water, and that was a bit of a contortionist effort!
