BUG review
This hostel is located at a ten minute walk from the metro in a quiet neighbourhood far from anything of much interest. The interior is modern and clean, but it has a somewhat institutional feel. The ground level is freshly painted with shiny floors, but higher up the halls and rooms are in need of maintenance. In summer there is a nice outdoor public pool available, and regularly scheduled plays downstairs in the Theatre Maurice Ravel attract guests as well as locals. The hostel hosts a lot of large groups, and although there is no kitchen, there is a nice self-service restaurant and a bar with a sunny terrace. Staff are quite friendly, but due to the low numbers of individual travellers, the ambience is not as communal as other places. As for transport, the PC2 bus line is a much closer option, and comes from Charles de Gaulle airport.

Alright, all things considered this place isn't horrid. The rooms are clean and spacious. We were there on Sept. 20/03 and 2 buddies and I got a room with 5 beds and our own shower for around 18 euro each. It was pretty dead so no other roommates. The water in our bathroom came out brown initially and the area is as previously described kind of ghetto with dodgy people and prostitutes all around and not much around to do at night. It is also quite far from the main tourist sites so you'd have to metro it everywhere. The staff are friendly, but the place is so big it is difficult to meet anyone at all. The breakfast is better than just a baguette, but I forget exactly what we got. All in all, we arrived in Paris pretty late so we were pretty happy to get this place, but suffice to say we busted ass to another hostel first thing in the morning. To recap: if you just need a place to crash no problem this is fine. But if you want a place to stay a while to check out the sights and meet others and explore paris by night then I would not recommend this place cuz as the saying goes, location is everything.

I stayed there with my french-class, 8 girls, early october. the radiators arent working, so its freezing col or dying hot in the rooms..

You are sure to drown after youve taken a shower because there is no hole on the floor the water can run away. the food is OK, but not Good.. But you feel safe here...

We paid about 24 euros each and got a huge room on the top floor with great views and our own bathroom!

You get a good breakfast included in the price and its located quite near a metro stop.

Only down side to this place is that it is located in quite a seedy area of town - its not all that nice walking back late at night - but for the price we paid we werent complaining!

The reception people are very helpful and they have a huge amount of rooms - although this does seem to get filled up with school trips!

Overall, nice place - not such a good location.
