Set in an old manor house on a small island in the Seine at Poissy, this hostel is a great place to relax and get away from hectic city travel for a while. It is run by a small staff and seasonal volunteers, who are exceedingly warm and welcoming. There is no kitchen, but the rooms are charming, and the views of the river are lovely. It is quite popular with groups and must be booked well in advance, but for a peaceful getaway, and for that price, it’s the perfect retreat.
