We've been a group of 6 supporters (swedish) and we found the hostel through internet. (they only offered a german hp - which is bad) but we were able to understand and to communicate. mails were responded rapidly and the booking through cc was simple. So we had guaranteed rooms (two triples- with tremendous breakfast included). Rooms were calm, great and cheap!

Staff was more than friendly in helping us to reach publiic viewing areas, their french volunteer (?) made information for major events. One day we visited the new Mercedes Benz museum which is a must if you go there,l in all we've had three top nights/4 days in Stuttgart.

surroundings and atmospere just super! thanks to everybody

we found very friendly staff in this hostel. Particularly the Russian lady (was it valera?) had an overwhelming way to infom us, what we can go for during our stay in Stuttgart on this weekend. She was able to communicate in french, perfect english, german (what we didn't understand) and of course in her mothers tongue russian. There were more people working there, we always had in prime time till late night someone to communicate in english. They helped us in any way and provided us with the tram ticket for 3 days. The rooms are acceptable on a budget level, they don't offer shared rooms, their breakfast is excellent, but even for our not existing towels, they had an answer and provided this missing equipment. So all in all to say it short and sweet: We really would stay there again. Thanks for hosting us.

This hostel wasn't horrible, it just wasn't good. For people travelling by themselves, only 1 bed single rooms are available for 25 euros a night, which is quite a hit for a shoestring budget. I asked for a "dorm" room, but I was told they only had 3 bed rooms and those were reserved for groups of three. The room was large and had a desk, it was extremely hot with little ventilation. The staff barged into the room on 3 seperate occasions within the span of 24 hours. They were apologetic, but they just unlocked and opened the door without knocking.

Maybe it was just my bad timing, but it seemed very insociable. Not much of a gathering area, nor was there anything to keep one entertained at the hostel.

They also didn't have any information in English about the city. Nothing about English-speaking walking tours, nightlife, happenings, etc. If you don't need this information, you want to relax, and you don't mind a bit of a tram ride into town, then this place isn't bad. But if you are travelling alone, on a budget, and you'd like to meet people at the hostel and get information in English on the city, this isn't your hostel. Because I fit in this latter category, I was disappointed in this hostel.
