Jugendgasthaus Berlin was extremely clean, lively, close to Berlin's main attractions, the staff was friendly and helpful, and there was a huge breakfast included. This hostel cannot get much better. If you're staying in Berlin, definitely stay here!

Yes - there were loads of school kids, but the place was nevertheless spotlessly clean, with good facilities, a huge breakfast in the morning, and good sized rooms. Plus, only 5 mins from the u-bahn, and not far from central berlin.
