BUG review
The DJH “Horner Rennbahn” hostel is a 267 bed hostel that caters mainly to groups. Accommodation is comprised of two, four and six bed dorms (with en suite bathrooms in the four-bed dormitories and shared bathrooms for the six-bed dorms) with a bedside light and locker for each bed. It is a clean and well-maintained hostel with a brand new addition scheduled to open in late 2011. Common areas include a lounge area with table football plus a games room with table tennis. It doesn’t have much of an atmosphere, but its location in a suburban area away from the city centre, means that not many independent travellers stay here anyway.

I would generally recommend this hostel. It was very clean, has all required facilities and the breakfast was pretty good. It is located in a rather calm, though not really central area (but directly in front of a bus station, so well connected to public transport). Still it was kind of lacking atmosphere (had a quite anonymous flair), so I didn't feel like staying any longer.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Fortunately it lasted only one night. The place is clean, the food is good. Everyone has access to the Internet and television. But, please use the locker in the room because you have no idea who else is sleeping with you :). The place is a bit far from downtown Hamburg, but it is still walkable.
