BUG review
Backpackers St Pauli is a great little (59-bed) hostel on a quiet residential street not too far from St Pauli FC. It features a bar (the Globe) next to reception plus a common area with a TV and a small kitchenette (just a fridge, two hobs and a microwave) as well as a small backyard with a barbecue. There is a computer to access the internet for free and guests also have access to free Wi-Fi. Accommodation is in clean and functional rooms, most of which have en suite bathrooms, and there is a large locker for each bed. Backpackers St Pauli is geared toward real backpackers and it isn’t overrun by groups like many other hostels in Hamburg. This along with the friendly staff and cosy ambience means that this hostel has the best atmosphere of all the hostels we reviewed in Hamburg.
