Rooms, bar, showers, etc are fantastic one of the best place i have ever stayed.

But it is miles from town and if you are only stopping for 1 day like me, spending 15 minutes each way on the bus is a bit like hard work.

Good for cycling and walking though i think

Really enjoyed my stay. The best youth hostel i've been in (although my experience is limited to the UK). Very clean, good bar, lovely surroundings and helpful staff. You also get a proper duvet and an ensuite bathroom. This place has really changed my mind about youth hostels!

This place has its good points and its bad points. Good points-the neighborhood and forest around the hostel is picturesque, and on a green quiet hillside. there is a fabulous italian restaraunt and ma and pop shop up the hill a few hundred meters. if your sick of other travelers, this may be a wise choice. the ride down the hillside into town in beautiful. the free breakfast is one of the best. staff is nice, and its clean and comfortable. Bad news-its a DM2 bus ride to/from town,(DM4 total) its as big as a hospital and built for large groups, sound carries and you can hear doors slamming, people on the stairs, etc. at all hours. its expensive as hell. the closest atm (without going into town) is a good 20 min. walk into the neighborhood. no bar. if they do have a big group, especially children, expect to be rudely awoken by screaming and other chaos noises around 6 am. the ride to town is at least 15 min. off-season, its practically a ghost town. for solo travellers it can be pretty lonely.
