I stayed in this hostel on various occasions and have never been disappointed. Great beds, nice common room, clean, free internet, all you can eat breakfast till noon, good location. The owner, Patrick, is quiet but helpful. The hostel has been open for several years now and it still getting better. Everytime I go there, something has changed. More kitchen utensils and a freezer would be nice though. Another downside is that the place shuts down at 9pm. If you're a guest, you get a pincode to enter the building, but you can't check in after this time, keep that in mind. Overall a great place, and MUCH better than the other hostel in D'dorf. Good place for both groups as individual travellers, long and short stays.

This is the cleanest hostel I´ve stayed in. The staff is great, very friendly. The beds are comfortable (with good mattresses unlike some flat pieces of foams I´ve slept on). The common room is also very comfortable and great place to exchange stories with other travellers. Highly recommend this hostel!

This was one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed at. It was extremely clean with free internet access and a comfortable bed. They have beck's in the coke machine and a large living room. The breakfast is limited but it lasts until noon! Nice place overall

A great backpackers destination, the hostel is clean, promoting a warm & friendly environment.I have been to many a hovel & this one rates highly among them. It´s in a good location & blah blah blah. But more than this the people here are what makes the place simply beautifull.I have been here many times & the owners of this fine establishment,& the people involved with it is what brings me back. Two thumbs up!!!

When others are following standards Patrick, you are setting a new level. This has been a conveinient and comfortable place and I have had an enjoyable, relaxed time in Duesseldorf. Conrad Pedersen Oslo

After backpacking all over the world since the eighties I can definately say that this is the scariest place I've stayed at. The staff weren't just unfriendly, but downright rude and insulting. According to the blurb, the hostel is centally located - yea right, its as equally as far to the train station as it is to the shops and the night life. It also claims free internet access and sattelite tv..true but only if you can somehow prise away the staff from the keyboard or the remote control. The first night I was there I was the only guest in the whole hostel..if they made an attempt to be friendlier to their guests they might get more people coming. You'd probably be better off paying a little more for a cheap hotel thats centrally located than this place.

this is a great hostel, I enjoyed it thoroughly. so clean, so friendly, so cosy. comfy beds, a small kitchen (could be a little better equipped, some big plates for instance).the only drawback: the doors can not be locked.a great hostel in a great town (see the harbour!) with absolute friendly staff (thanx patrick!).
