The hostel at Osar is located in an old farmhouse and some newly-built houses next to the owner's farm and overlooks the sea and mountains. It is a five-minute walk from the beach where Iceland's second largest seal colony can be found. The hostel is amazingly clean in all areas -- bedrooms, kitchens, and shower rooms. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. The views are fantastic and the quietness positively staggering! The hostel is around 30km from the nearest town, so food and drink have to be bought in advance, but boy is it worth it! My whole family loved the experience and would definitely return on our next visit to Iceland!!
