BUG Review
Rolf's Holidays is a very nice hostel that is comprised of several stone buildings. Accommodation is in spotless rooms and shared facilities include a small kitchen and dining room and an outdoor seating area. The hostel also features a classy restaurant, café and wine bar.
Price Dorm bed €13-15 Double room €40-60 Twin room €40-70 Prices are in local currency and are inclusive of all taxes.
stayed at rolfs during August 2006. I iwsh i had asked to see the room before i handed over full payment. The room was musty, damp. The bed clothes were had mould growing on them. Walls in the room was damp, after one night we had enough. We woke up with damp hair, all our clothes were damp as well. Even for an upper class hostel thay should provide dry warm rooms. It was just awfull. Much nicer places to stay in baltimore. Rolfs is over rated and the food is stupidly expensive.

of a place: it mixes decent enough hostelling facilities with more up-market hotelery - and is friendly enough - but I felt it didn't quite work. The view though is superb. I wasn't quite sure where I was in Baltimore; it felt like some contrived resort for north west Europeans. There is another hostel down on the harbour: a concrete block, I think aimed at water sporties - concrete and sweat is such an adorable smell - I rapidly turned tail.

Fantastic, warm, welcoming. All the facilities , peace and quiet. This is the way to do it folks and ROLF's have the edge on many hostels I've stayed in.It's friendly, family run and offers everything for the modern traveller, including a top class restaurant and a warm comfortable winebar for those who fancy a special evening out while hostelling.Definitely not to be missed.Baltimore is on its doorstep and there's loads of walks, sailing, daytrips to be had in the area.
