7 friends and I went to Cork for 4 days and were having a great time until Saturday morning when it started to rain very heavily all day. We had booked the hostel by phone two weeks previously. But when we arrived we were told that it was double booked because a family had decided to stay on a few extra days. To cut a long story short, we spent the next 6 hours trying to find a hostel, bed and breakfast or hotel to stay in without any luck at all. We didn't receive any apology from the hostel owner, we didn't even receive a courtesy phone call to tell us it was overbooked . We found out when we turned up! If the owner had the common decency to phone us, we would have had time to find somewhere else to stay. I will never stay in that hostel we were treated very very badly. If you wan t to go to Bantry, don't rely on a booking at this hostel!
