I stayed in Cape Clear Hostel for two days in August 1959/or /1960.Had a wonderful time. A few years ago I went back to see the Island. It was still as beautiful as ever.Marie Carroll (Walsh)

Cape Clear is a beautiful island off the southwest coast of Ireland.The hostel is right next to the sea so you wake up to the sound of waves lapping at the seashore.There are nice walks around the island,great birdwatching and 3 pubs within walking distance of each other.Accomodation is basic but don't mind that!!
