I have stayed in this hostel twice, in the springs of 2001 and 2002 with my university, and both times our group booked the whole hostel. We had been giving concerts in the local chapel and stayed there overnight before travelling back to Belfast. Thus, I'm afraid I can't comment on the reception or the staff, or even the rates as it was all paid for and sorted out for us, and so I'm only giving it four stars. Breakfast was not included, although there were two massive communal areas with very well equipped kitchens, and even satellite television! There is ample parking space if you have transport. Beds were comfortable, only one key for the room, although this didn't present a problem as we moved around as a group. There was an ensuite toilet and shower, even the little 2 bedroom rooms had them, although I was in a dorm of 8. Glenties is a nice little town, and we spent most of our evenings there in O'Brien's pub (think that's it's name - it was refurbished between our two stays), and went to the hotel around the corner for breakfast in the morning. Get the fry - it's brilliant value for money. Glenties is a good spot for touring from, it's pretty central to the rest of Co. Donegal. So, I recommend this hostel for cleanliness, and location, and that's about all I can say!
