This former library is just 100 metres from the Guinness Brewery. It has a big common room with a piano, fireplace and a TV, a small kitchen and dining room downstairs and an outdoor barbecue area. Accommodation is in tidy rooms, all with en suite facilities. The biggest dorm has 10 beds.

Big comfortbal beds, good living room, more or less perfect kitchen, friendly staff. Lots of cheap shops around and close to town. Happy days.

I thought that this hostel was cozy. The last reviewer was correct about their need to hire a new manager, but all other staff were very nice and helpful. In my room we just claimed our beds - this was not a problem for me - I stayed 4 nights.

The location is not so great. Breakfast sucks. They don't assign beds, witch causes absolute caos EVERY night. Although it does have potential, it doesn't have much atmosphere. Hanging out in the lounge, people would come in, sit down for about 60 seconds and then leave again...? In the summer the outdoor area would be fun if you import your own friends or like spending time alone. Basically, it suffers for the seemingly universal Irish need to make entirely too many rules and not do what they should to make their customers happy. My advice would be to fire the manager, there is really no reason for this place not to be one of the best hostels in Dub. - except, that it is not.
