This hostel has very poor bathrooms if you care about having a shower give this place a miss. really 30 second showers is beyond me..... i stayed in a 16 bed dorm which was shared by another 16 bed dorm yes 32 people sharing 2 showers,Once you are finished showering you have no where to dry off but the bathroom that everyone has to wallk through.

Give this place a miss.

My partner and I stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm with ensuite for the weekend before St Patricks Day. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom quite good, though we may've just been lucky that others didn't get up to shower at the same time as us! There are extra toilets in the corridor as well.

The staff were really friendly when we arrived at 9am (a 5-10 minute walk from O'Connell Street where normal buses go, so you don't really need to pay £5 to get the airport express) and as well as letting us store our bags in the secure bag room, offered us breakfast!

You have to show a pass to get into the hostel, have a key to your room and there are safes you can hire, so it's all pretty secure. If you have a large enough padlock you can also lock the luggage cage under your bed.

The place is massive and busy, so I don't know if you'd be as likely to meet people here as in a cosier hostel. Internet is available, and through sponsorship you can get the first 6 minutes free (as many times as you like!), which is great in a country where internet cafes are quite expensive.

Went here for four nights and it was ok but i havent really been to many hostels so dont really have much to compare it to. Rooms have wooden floors quite spacious and some have nice view onto some old law like building(forgotten what its called!!) Sheets were clean, showers and toilets were good but floor sometimes gets a bit wet in the bathroom. Only a 5-10 min walk to the Temple bar area which has every description of bar pub etc...About 10-15 mins to main shopping area but it all depends how fast you walk. You can also walk to the guiness brewery, takes about 15-20 mins but once at guiness you get a free pint so it worth it. Breakfast is toast, cornflakes, tea and coffee, not very exciting but keeps you going!! You may be able to do better but I am sure that you can do a lot worse!!!

I don't know what anyone could like about this place, its not dirty or dangerous, but it doesn't have much going for it. Nobody really mixed, the rules were dead strict, like alcohol was banned on the premises, there was no conception of fun at all. I had a blast in Dublin, top city, but the hostel was nothing to do with it. I had friends stay at Isaacs, and that had everything the 4 courts was lacking.

We thought this hostel was excellent and it's located very centrally. The only problems are that the dorms are big and can get a bit noisy, but the facilities and the staff were excellent.

The description of this hostel is very enticing, but don't be fooled. The staff are horrible, so is there service, and so is the hostel. Save your money, and your time...go stay somewhere else. This place is not worth the price!!

I had a pretty good time at this hostel. It is pretty new and clean. It also has a fun environment with funny cartoons all over the hostel, it makes it brighter. We had a dorm of 8 beds, but it wasn't full so it was okay. I think most rooms have their own bathroom with shower. The showers were pretty good. Breakfast is very basic, and can be very chaotic. The ceilings are thin, so you might want to ask for a room on the top floor. Be warned that this hostel takes very large groups, you might want to ask about that too.

The first few days, it was an English field hockey team. My friend didn't get much sleep since it sounded like they were rolling their hockey balls around on the floor above us. The last night there was a large group of obnoxious English schoolchildren on a field trip, who were left alone and spent the evening chasing each other up and down the stairs and jumping off their beds on the floor directly above us. It sounded at times like they were actually moving their beds around?! It was very annoying but somewhat entertaining. But asking them to shut up several times and telling their teacher eventually worked and they quieted down.

Staff seem to know what they are doing, except that they issue a security pass every day which no one checks, ever.

Don't believe the other reviews! I think they were written by the owner or something. This place sucks! It is more expensive than other hostels in Dub. It is dirty, disorganized, the showeres are moldy and cold, the staff are natzis, the breakfast is terrible, it is inconvienient.... I dodn't know what else to say except WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T STAY HERE!!! If there is not another bed in all Dublin and it is snowing - SLEEP OUTSIDE. You might get kicked out anyway, the staff are so shitty.
