BUG Review
This small hostel is a good value place to stay with accommodation in tidy but simple rooms. It has a small but fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a TV and a small garden at the back.
Price Dorm bed €15 Twin room €44
Prices include breakfast Prices are in euro and are inclusive of all taxes.
This hostel is clean, and the staff are polite enough ,however the buzzing in policy should have been a security boon but proved to be more of a headache; not least because the door release buzzes really loudly. The curfew annoyed me a little, I havent had one of those since I was 13, why should I start obeying one now? And finally there was no atmosphere. The kitchen is only available for guest use between 17.00 and 22.00 so you can forget making yourself sandwiches for lunch. While the shower room, though clean, had a sodden towel of a bath mat on the floor not exactly appealing. As far as I could tell, though I didnt really investigate there were two toilets and one shower for three multiple occupancy (6-8 people) rooms. Breakfast was fine if you like cereal and bread, there was no toast (something was muttered about the electricity), with tea or coffee. Ultimately not a hostel Id recommend.

We were on the top floor, so no heat problems for us. One of the cheapest places I've ever stayed in. Liked the morning breakfasts, which felt cosy. Not such a long walk at all from things, when you consider there's usually trad music going on in one of the locals nearby, and the banks could not be closer.

Despite the fact that this was the most basic hostel I stayed at in Ireland, I give it the average rating for price. It was 10 pounds per night. The room I had only had 5 beds and was huge. Decent mattress and pillow. Sheets and duvet provided. No secured stoarge, but plenty of space. Two private toilets with sinks. They were very small and only cold water ran in the sink. No one mentioned that there was a charge for hot showers, so our poor roommate suffered. Being me, I investigated and found two showers (and two more toilets)on the top floor, one of which had a heater attached. I had free hot showers. There is a kitchen, which I didn't really check out. It does have a microwave because they popped some popcorn for me. Breakfast (included) was cornflakes, milk, coffee, tea, brown and white bread, margarine and jam. It was the best free breakfast of the all the hostels we stayed at. The only public area was the small dining area. There is a lockout from 11 to 4 I believe, but they'll store your bags. It's slightly more out of the way than Abbey Court, but only a two block walk to O'Connell Street and the bus from the airport drops you off a block from the hostel.
