This place is a long walk from the harbor for no purpose. The place was cold (no heat on a cold, rainy night) and the food was terrible. The staff was just as bad. There was junk lying all around because they're supposedly remodeling, supposedly because it looked like the junk had been there for a while. So much for the pretty views. Other people felt the same. In fact, we got talking about it on the ferry back and all agreed it was easily the worst hostel we'd seen in Ireland. Skip it.

It seems like the place is under new management or something. People who stayed last year raved about it. This year, everyone we talked to there was very disappointed - one of the least pleasant hostels they'd stayed at. Private rooms are nicely decorated but dorms less pleasant. They're very slowly doing work on the place which means debris lying all about and non-working showers and such. Staff was less than pleasant and food terrible. It really seems that someone decorated it, set everything up, got it the great reputation and then... left. It's a fair trek from the harbor, with no reason to make it. Whatever the place was in the past, it's not that at all now. For a pleasant stay, look elsewhere.

The staff was great, really helpful and nice. The food was really good, I suggest eating dinner there. The views are amazing. There were clean rooms, comfy beds and hot showers. It was great, like staying at a friend of a friend's house.

This hostel has it all!!The most amazing view in Ireland.Cosy dorms and cute private rooms,friendly staff,a nice breakfast and best of all an amazing all you can eat evening meal!After staying here I felt like moving to the island!:)
