Great atmosphere! Highly recommended!, June 7, 2007

Pros: Great location in central Forio. Giuseppe and Lorenzo are great and laid back!
Cons: A bit cold even in summer, floor in large dorm not so clean.

Had a great time there, meeting nice people and enjoying lovely meals in the sister hotel's restaurant, cooked by Giuseppe and Lorenzo's mother Tina. Stayed in the large dorm, which is rather basic. The downsides are the lack of locks to the two bathrooms and the floor in one third of the dorm which is not tiled like the rest of the room, and therefore is rather dirty. The stone building also gets rather cold at night and I believe that's how I caught a cold. The other rooms seem to have been better in that respect, though.

The hostel has a lovely roof terrace, free Internet and a basic kitchen. Breakfast is free, but it's an Italian breakfast, so unless you like sweet pastries and coffee for breakfast, it doesn't really count.

Ischia is a great island and well worth more than just a day trip from Naples. Lorenzo's driving on the narrow streets on the way back from the restaurant is worth the visit alone!
