I backpacked around Europe for a month, across 6 countries and the best hostel I stayed in was not in Paris or Florence but hidden in beachside Rimini! Hostel Jammin' is well priced, clean, accomadating, and is run by friendly, helpful staff. It was by far the best hosteling experience I've had. The hostel is located near the beach, and provides comfortable dorm bedrooms, clean showers, a fantastic free breakfast and free internet, all in a fun beach environment. We only stayed for 1 night and regretted not staying longer! The staff goes out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable (even getting up at 3.30am and 7am to let in late night partiers), which was not the case in other hostels. They even provide free bikes. So, overall, if you're traveling through Italy, stop in Rimini and stay at Hostel Jammin'!

In a word, sensational. Jammin hostel in Rimini compares with any of the best hostels in Italy and Europe. Its that good - and they didnt pay me to say that! Its spanking new in March 2005 and I wish Claudio every success the guy is keen as mustard and really wants visitors to enjoy their stay. The Jammin youth hostel is tucked away down a little street off the main drag parallel to the coast and is just a 5 minute walk to the golden sands of this famed 15km stretch of Adriatic Coastline. The number 11 bus runs from the train station to the main street and from there its a walk of 3 minutes no long bus journeys out of town followed by weary walks to find this hostel!Claudio has renovated the hostel for backpackers even though it was previously a 3-star hotel! Facilities include good showers, two outdoor seating areas, spacious rooms with fans, balconies, nice bar/breakfast room and a lift. If youve got a room to yourself youll have a good nights sleep but with 4-bed rooms available its not like youll have too much trouble anyway. Other things I liked were:-11am kick out (compared to some places 9am!) -a great little bar and lots of outdoor seating-clean, quiet and spacious-location good for beach, restaurants etcYou get value out of your 16 euros thats for sure. But if you struggle to get a room here (if as expected it becomes popular), there is a hotel across the street. But Id have to say its a secondary choice to the hostel. I stayed there and it wasnt up to the hostel standard but the rate was decent. My days of hostelling may nearly be drawing to a close but Id go back to Jammin Rimini without a doubt. Having arrived without any expectations (last stop: a poor and unfriendly hostel in Venice) I was pleasantly surprised by everything about the Jammin Hostel Rimini. Give yourself several days to enjoy this place and Rimini itself its good fun. Claudio told me he also hoped to soon offer backpackers free use of bicycles (rimini is ideal for bikes). What a legend.
