The hostel in Santa Sofia is located down town in a lovely surrounding. It is easy to go mountain hiking or take a stroll in the town. The staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean and simple and rooms had tiles on the floor. We had clean sheets and towels, the mattress in bed was comfortable and the bathroom was private to the room. We had breakfast in a bar next to the hostel. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. It is a good idea to have a base in Santa Sofia and to take a day tours to visit more turist and busy places like Firenze. I felt very save in Santa Sofia.
