The hostel is about a 20 minute walk from the main train station, and is easy to find. But, it is on a steep hill for the last bit, which I found takes a little effort with bags. The town centre is about a 15-20 minute easy walk, and the hostel is also very close to a supermarket. The area around is quite nice, with Valentino Park just on the other side of the Po, which seems to attract a lot of people in good weather. The staff are friendly and helpful, willing to give advice etc. Breakfast was good, esp as it was included in the price. Its mainly cereal and bread/toast but good food. I didn't try dinner, but it costs roughly 10€. There's two fending machines which are reasonably priced. The rooms are value for money, I think. A bed in a 4 bed dorm (for a March stay at least) was 15€. The beds are quite soft, but not the worst! The bathroom facilities are very good. 4 showers and 4 toilets per floor, which always seemed to be empty. If you're travelling as a pair a private twin room would also be good value. I did this for a couple of nights, and it costs 40€ for the room, with a private bathroom. In any type of room you can leave your lugguage in the room during the day, and lockers are available for which you pay a deposit for the key. The internet costs 1€ for an hour, which isn't bad, but there are only 2 internet points which during the evening were often busy (no problem getting on late afternoon though). The main con of this hostel for me was the lack of atmosphere. I might just have been unlucky as I was there over easter, but they seemed to cater for school parties. Everynight I was there the hostel was almost completely booked out by one party, who ran around yelling at one another for most of the night so sleeping wasn't the easiest! There was a lounge, but its downstairs and quite well hidden! and didn't seem to be used very often. All together it didn't seem like the place to meet people. I also saw a couple of people who turned up looking for rooms, getting turned away, I presume because it was booked out by school parties, so if you are going to come during the school holidays reservations might be a good idea.

Let me explain this. The toilets, showers & security were pretty exceptional. If this was all I judged a hostel on, it'd get 5 stars. But they bomb out on other things - of course, if that is ALL you want in a hostel, then buy a timeshare here...I MINUS one star for curfew. They LOVE rules. It really structures their existance here. Now, if you depend on rules to keep you going in life, you know, what to do & whatnot, it stays 5 stars. But for me, a dictorial "it is 10am, you must go now from your room" is a bit too much. I dont feel like having only 7 hours sleep starting at 1amBreakfast ends at 9.30am ON THE DOT. You get a dressing down for being there at 9.29am - of course in Italian. Oh rule followers, why is life so simple?b) They have a night watchman. He seems to have a problem with non-macho males (like, erm, me). Bombastic, loud and bouncer-like. Would do better conjoling people to visit strip clubsc) Too clean. Sterile. Full of a lot of people who dont communicate with each other. Lots of kids allowed to run around & be, erm, kids. Slamming doors & stuffBut hey, they were friendly. Oh, the internet is 1/hr. Not much, but if you are there 1 week, and use the net more than 1 hr a day (emails, blog updating etc) then its the equivalent of another nights stay.Otherwise, an OK place.

Maria went out of her way to get bed reserved even though I got in later than planned and hostel was full of families, when very loud young adults invated the place they made sure it settled down, you just have to let them know your concerns, one bed E-14.50 including simple breakfast, you are surrounded by palazio style homes and a view of the city below, staff was helpful and informative about locations transport etc. , computer time only 1 euro per hr., dinner can be ordered ahead of time E- 9.00 for full meal or 4-5.50 per course, 1st is a variety of pasta 2nd vegetables and meat typical italian fare good deal for your money

This was the nicest hostel I have stayed in so far. It's only about a 15 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride out of town, and in a really pretty building set back from the main road. There is also a communal balcony where you can make new friends! Showers and bathrooms were great, really spacious and clean, and the rooms only had about 6 beds in them so it's a lot easier to sleep! Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving maps, directions and recommendations. Food was pretty standard, you could get a decent meal for 9 euros or eat in town for a little more.

The hostel was easy to find, signs everywhere. We checked in earlier - its important to confirm your booking by phone the day before or you may lose the vacancy. The rooms were clean and the batherooms were clean. Breakfast was included and you can book in for dinner. The staff all spoke english and treated us beautifully and gave us maps. Fantastic!! We have 3 small children and we felt safe here and it was quiet to sleep.

The rooms are large and clean, have decent beds and lockers. Bathrooms are clean and have multiple shower and toilet stalls, but the hot water can only be used at certain times. Breakfast is very small and the lockout at 10am is enforced. Also, beware of school groups, this hostel was full of very noisy twelve year olds when I was there in April.

The hostel is near the centre of town and is very comfortable. Toilets are clean and the showers are really good. It is easy to meet people and everyone is generally very friendly. Our room was a dorm room for 8 people and if you pay a 10 euro deposit you can get a key for one of the lockers to put your rucksack in.The food isnt very good but there's an Irish pub about 10mins away where you can get good, cheap food. There's lots to see in Turin and the hostel has a really good atmosphere.

Very clean, good showers and toilets. Disappointed that our double room consisted of a single bed and a bunk bed - no double bed, but made do! Don't bother getting up for breakfast and be prepared to leave for lockout at 10am exactly - curfew 11.30pm but they will give you a key...bit of a walk up a hill so hope your pack isn't too heavy...not very easy to meet people and a clinical feel.Turin itself though is gorgeous and accomodation expensive and this hostel is quite central which is an up.
