It´s necessary pay attention to the locker, for their doors are not safe. While padlock is placed centered, there is a way to bend the edges of them. Some doors still keep the marks of previous bending.

The showers aren´t good but the bathroom is not dirty.

I didn´t have problems at all, even with the staff, that treated me kindly, I mean it! The breakfast (la prima colazione) is just to encourage you to find good places to eat, far from that hostel.

But once you out after midnight, you will return just at 7! But you can stay one night or more to meet the people gathered in the TV lounge - a good way to meet other b-packers.

it's definitely cheaper than any other hostel in Rome, but quite hard to get there (from Termini Station: Metro Ottaviano(San Pietro) + Bus 32).

One side of the hostel is next to a very trafficked street, so it's a good idea to request a room on the opposite side - facing on a nice garden.

This by far is the cheapest accommodation in Rome: the reason being is that it is far from most attractions, it was perhaps once a prison and they skimped on refurbishing by keeping

the metal bunks, dirty/thin mattress' and single glazed windows. I would not recommend this to anyone. Please save a couple of Euros along the way and put it towards accommodation that could at least make your stay in Rome one that won't be remembered for NO sleep, NO hot water and NO friendly staff.

The hostel is not within walking distance of main attractions, being the Vatican Musei the nearest. Curfew is at midnight, and the hostel has some 340 beds. Men are not UNDER ANY REASON allowed to go into the girls' section. Breakfast is not good and beds are not comfortable. There are lockers (bring your padlock), but bathrooms are not very clean. Don't expect air conditioning. There is no kitchen. Staff is not very helpful (but nobody really is in Rome anyway). An HI card is not compulsory. There is a nice backyard. I heard quite a few complaints of mobiles and other electronic stuff being stolen. Families and oldies are also admitted. So, expect to see children playing around.
